Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
David was a big fan of The Uncle Floyd Show to the point of using around one minute and twenty seconds of dialogue from it for the TOY track, Uncle Floyd. That version never saw the light of day officially, but it did morph into Slip Away when it was reimagined for Heathen in 2002.
The image we’ve used is of David on A Reality Tour during a performance of Slip Away.
We’ll leave you with Uncle Floyd’s own tribute to David Bowie, which he made following David’s passing. He talks about David being recommended the show by John Lennon along with this perfect observation: “He loved everyone who was off the path”.
