Maybe, I'll slay a dragon for you...
Tickets for the Festa do Dragão, or the Dragon Festival to most of you reading this, have proved almost impossible to buy for anyone living outside of Portugal. Tickets went on sale on the plateia website recently, but it seems they could only be bought by registered members...and you could only register with a Portuguese phone number! Tickets were also meant to go on sale via fnac, but again, unless anybody can tell me differently, that doesn't seem to have happened either.
But there is light at the end of the tunnel, and it isn't an oncoming locomotive as somebody once said. We now have a phone number which you can apparently call direct and speak to an English-speaking human on the other end who will help you with your booking. I tried the number, and there was indeed a very pleasant lady more than willing to help.
Do remember her English is most likely far better than your Portuguese, so please remain polite if you do come up against a language barrier. Make sure you know exactly what you are ordering before you complete the transaction, in other words that you are booking the right day and that you know where in the stadium you will be situated.
Here's that number: 00 351 21 458 3333
