Enter Bowie Radio 2 Show Competition Now

Please excuse completely gratuitous use of tasty
Bowie pic that has absolutely no connection to this
piece whatsoever! Picture by Markus Klinko & Indrani.

How Lucky You Are...

We are at last able to give a chance to 25 BowieNetters to win a place at Wednesday's David Bowie Radio 2 performance at Maida Vale in London, that we told you about last week. (09/07/02 NEWS: BOWIE LIVE PERFORMANCE FOR RADIO 2) We were hoping to have the winners of Radio 2's own competition for their allocation of tickets, but it seems those names aren't yet available. All I can say to those of you that know they already have a place via the Radio 2 competition, is that it would be cool of you not to enter this competition too.

Please don't enter this contest unless you are absolutely certain you will be able to attend. If there is any doubt that you can make it to London on the morning of Wednesday the 18th, then please do not enter.

OK same rules as usual, but here they are again just in case:

As ever, please be sure to provide proof of a BowieNet account...either e-mail your entry from your BowieNet account, or supply your BowieNet user name if you mail from a non BowieNet account.

If possible please provide a telephone number of where you can be contacted on Monday evening.

No duplicate entries please... duplicate entries will only be accepted if you are worried that a previous e-mail wasn't sent properly.

OK, on to the competition... well it's not so much of a competition actually. We thought the fairest way to do this one would be to randomly draw 25 names out of a list of people that can attend. So, all you need to do is send an e-mail to me at TotalBlamBlam@DavidBowie.com with a subject line of: I can attend on Wednesday the 18th.

The contest will end at midnight UK time on Sunday night, and we will notify the winners on Monday evening, after we have checked the validity of their BowieNet account. Good luck to each and every one of you.

Interview : Capital Radio : 09/06/02

I'd rather play here with all the madmen

If you missed David's interview on Capital Radio last Friday, then don't despair! You can now listen to the whole thing, online, here. Do make sure to listen, as us fans get a mention, and much to my mortification, so does my hometown although I can promise you *I* wasn't in the audience on the date David mentions as his 'worst ever gig'. At least that's my story, and I'm sticking to it.. ;-)

Enjoy!

Paris Show On 'arte' Tonight & David Answers You Via Video

I'll spin you valentine evenings

European TV have two very cool new websites featuring areas devoted to David. Check out these pages at ARTE which give full details of the 'David Bowie Evening' airing tonight, which we reminded you about in BowiePhiles last Friday.

Starting at 8.45PM (France), you can see 'Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence', a short interview by Ray Cokes, (which you can also view streaming in the video section) as well as the hotly awaited TV showing of concert footage from the gig at Paris Olympia on 1st July this year. Among other pages, there is also a quiz with some great prizes.

tf1.fr, also has a new page devoted to David, with lots of great choices. You can enter a competition to win one of the last two pairs of tickets for the shows at the Zenith, Paris on 24th or 25th September, listen to live versions of 'Everyone Says Hi', and 'Slow Burn', see a clip from the 'Slow Burn' video, and also see streaming video of a section from an interview with David recorded on 7th July this year. Unfortunately, the interpreter tends to take over a bit on this last item.

You can also ask David a question, and then check back at noon tomorrow to see if he answers. The website says "The star answers your questions on video on Friday 13th September at 12.00". Check it out!

'everyone Says 'hi'' Out Monday... Win The Set Now!

Love to know what's what...

As we told you last month (08/22/02 NEWS: FORMATS FOR 'EVERYONE SAYS 'HI'' CD SINGLE) the 'Everyone Says 'Hi'? CD set is released this coming Monday here in the UK.

Available as three different CDs, this set collects together the extra tracks that were originally intended for the withdrawn 'Slow Burn' UK release, plus the previously unreleased 'Heathen' outtake, 'Safe', and 'Baby Loves That Way', another track from the unreleased 'Toy' album.

These CDs normally sell for much less than the RRP in the first week of release, which means if you're quick you can get the set for far less than the price of an album... You're also more likely to help the single chart, which means another TOTPs appearance if it does! In other words, get out there on Monday and buy what has to be the best set of Bowie bonus tracks in a long time!

If you didn't already buy the European 'Slow Burn' single, imho, 'Shadow Man' alone is worth the price of this set. Here's the final breakdown for each of the formats:

'EVERYONE SAYS 'HI'' UK CD SINGLE FORMATS

CD1
Everyone Says 'Hi'
Safe (Outtake from 'Heathen' sessions)
Wood Jackson (Outtake from 'Heathen' sessions)

CD2
Everyone Says 'Hi'
Baby Loves That Way (From unreleased 'Toy' album)
You've Got A Habit Of Leaving (From unreleased 'Toy' album)

CD3
Everyone Says 'Hi'
When The Boys Come Marching Home (Outtake from 'Heathen' sessions)
Shadow Man (From unreleased 'Toy' album)

THE COMPETITION
OK, if that's not enough to tempt you to your local record emporium on Monday morning, here's a competition to win one of five sets as pictured above. Not sure how hard you'll find this, but all I'm saying is that the Cryptogram below translates to a line from 'Everyone Says 'Hi'?, and you need to tell me what that line is:

Everyone Says 'Hi' Cryptogram

25 7 - 26 11 18 - 19 22 - 11 3 3 - 13 20 7 - 24 11 19 - 13 20 6 18 8 15

Send your answer to me at TotalBlamBlam@DavidBowie.com with a subject line of: "Everyone Says 'Hi' Cryptogram". As ever, please be sure to provide proof of a BowieNet account...either e-mail your entry from your BowieNet account, or supply your BowieNet user name if you mail from a non BowieNet account.

Five runners up will receive the highly collectable, and much sought after, 'Everyone Says 'Hi'' promo CD. See ya down the shops on Monday morning!

Bowie Satisfies Parisian Virgin

"Who'll love a lad in Seine?" - DB and most appreciative Parisian
during yesterday's signing in Paris. - Photograph by Philippe Auliac.

We could run when the rain slows...

The Champs Elysées Virgin Megastore in Paris was host yesterday to the second David Bowie European signing session this week. Judging by BowieNetter Simone's report on the MBs, yesterday was even more of a rushed affair than Monday's session in London, mainly down to the fact that there were many more people to get through...Not that that spoiled anybody's fun by all accounts. (Actually one account, Simone's!)

September 10th, Champs Elysées Virgin Megastore, Paris. - Pic by Philippe Auliac.

As you can see from our pictures, kindly donated by photographer Philippe Auliac, David was resplendent in another striped number, a black and green jumper this time, and possibly another Paul Smith creation? Thanx to Simone and Philippe for their generosity.

Bowie Brings A Ray Of Sunshine To London

DB listens intently to a fan at yesterday's signing
session at HMV - Photograph by Total Blam Blam.

We could run when the rain slows...

A wet and grey Monday morning in London's West End yesterday, did nothing to dampen the spirits of hundreds of David Bowie fans at the HMV signing session in Oxford Street. David, looking as cool as ever in a black and white striped Paul Smith shirt (see detail below), laughed and chatted with incredulous fans who couldn't quite believe their good fortune.

Many BowieNetters have asked me to pass on their thanks to the event's organisers for what was a most successful day. All of the 150 competition winners went away very satisfied clutching a signed copy of 'Heathen', and the memory of a few cherished moments with David Bowie. However, it is reported that approximately 1,000 fans that weren't lucky enough to win a wristband, had to satisfy themselves with a distant glimpse of the man.

It wasn't any old black and white stripe...just look at the detail in that!

It wasn't any old black and white stripe...just look at the detail in that! Designed by Paul Smith, Computer enhancement, Total Blam Blam.

The event caught the imagination of the media here in the UK, with reports throughout yesterday on news broadcasts and pieces in this morning's tabloids...not to mention several online postings. The tabloids seemed to focus more on the fact that David had stocked up on a few DVDs more than anything else though.

Among the titles that HMV refused to take any cash for were, the very hilarious Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights, The League of Gentleman, Morecambe and Wise, and the frankly childish Paddington Bear and Andy Pandy. David, allegedly, also showed some interest in Muffin The Mule. He rounded of his little shopping spree with the latest release by Ash, 'Intergalactic Sonic 7"s: The Best of Ash'. What a scrounger! };-)

You can view an online version of last night's Liquid News broadcast here, (scroll along to 17.53 minutes) and the following reports by clicking on each relevant shortcut. Dotmusic - Ananova - BBC - ITV - NME

David is due to do an instore signing at the Champs Elysées Virgin Megastore today, any reports from BowieNetters present at the signing will be most welcome.

TV UPDATES: You may notice in some of the above reports that David's appearances on Parkinson and on Later With Jools Holland have now been confirmed. The shows record on the 19th and 20th of September respectively, but unfortunately it looks like BowieNet will have no ticket allocation for either of these shows.

Tom Hanks will be the other guest on Parkinson, which will be broadcast later as the first episode of the new series. David will perform a couple of songs on the show and he'll obviously be interviewed by Parky.

Hmv Heathen Signing Comp Part 3 Winners

"Bow-wow, woof woof, bow-wow, wow" Nipper, the world-famous HMV pooch.

Looking for someone...

We now have the winners from the last part of our HMV Heathen signing competition. If you see your BowieNet e-mail address in the list below, you should respond to me at TotalBlamBlam@DavidBowie.com immediately, with your real name, and confirm that you will definitely attend. Please use a subject line of: "Signing Competition Last Part Winner".

Here are the last lot of 20 very lucky winners, who all get to meet David Bowie at HMV, 150 Oxford Street on Monday:

5 = Paulzim@davidbowie.com
23 = karlwesley@davidbowie.com
28 = nick1@davidbowie.com
42 = alex@davidbowie.com
46 = Noel4@davidbowie.com
56 = spooks@davidbowie.com
62 = Natasha@davidbowie.com
65 = paul@davidbowie.com
71 = jungtheforeman@davidbowie.com
79 = pabsjl@davidbowie.com
95 = mhammond@davidbowie.com
100 = nomadsoul55@davidbowie.com
107 = heelheadover@davidbowie.com
116 = ziggielaming@davidbowie.com
136 = andybea@davidbowie.co.uk
141 = msimmo@davidbowie.com
148 = sindymmm@davidbowie.com
159 = kooky@davidbowie.com
168 = adriant@davidbowie.com
171 = chaspearson@davidbowie.com

I will send out a confirmation e-mail to all sixty winners tomorrow morning, but rest assured, if you've been listed here as a winner, you will get in on Monday. If for some reason you don't get your confirmation, do make sure to turn up. Just have a form of ID, preferably some kind of photo ID, such as passport or travel pass etc.

You can collect your wristband between 9:00am and 10:00am at Adam & Eve Court, off Oxford Street, next to HMV. Look for a chap called Julian who favours a smooth dome when it comes to hairstyling. Yes, he is fiercely bald! Please don't even bother to approach him if you don't have ID with you. No ID, no entry.

Important note: You should only approach the signing table with a single copy of 'Heathen'. Due to the very tight schedule, we must ensure that the operation runs quickly and smoothly so that everyone with a wristband gets a moment with David. Unfortunately, no fan photography will be allowed, and I've been asked to pass on the message that fans attempting to take pictures may be ejected.

If you are travelling a long distance to HMV, don't forget to have a wee wee before you leave, and if you're driving, don't forget your car keys. See ya there! };-)

Bowie Live Performance For Radio 2

"You got rings on your fingers and your hair's hot red" - Jane and
Jonathan Ross with David at the GQ awards on Tuesday night.

And me I'm on a radio show... Part 236

We can now reveal details of the "very special David Bowie performance" I teased you about a few days ago. David will perform a live and very exclusive concert for Radio 2 on the afternoon of Wednesday 18th September at the BBC's Maida Vale Studios in London.

The recording will be broadcast on Radio 2 on Saturday 5th October at 8pm. This is a similar idea to the session that he performed for Radio 1's Mark and Lard show back in 1999 at the same venue.

We will be holding a competition next week for 25 BowieNet members to attend, but in the meantime, (as mentioned by Jonathan Ross on his show this morning) you have until Monday (I'd read that as midnight Sunday) to enter a competition on the Radio 2 site to win one of fifteen pairs.

Go here now for your chance to win, and don't forget to read the competition rules before you enter! (Competition rules seem to be something a few of you here have trouble understanding!)

Good luck friends... Exciting times, eh?

Hmv Signing Comp Part 3 & Part 2 Winners

...for maybe the last time...

OK, we now have the randomly selected winners from part two of the competition. If you see your BowieNet e-mail address in the list below, you should respond to me at TotalBlamBlam@DavidBowie.com immediately, with your real name, and confirm that you will definitely attend. Please use a subject line of: "Signing Competition Part Two Winner". So, here are the second lot of 20 very lucky winners, who all get to meet David Bowie at HMV, 150 Oxford Street on Monday:

3 = clarkgwent@davidbowie.com
4 = welwnrose@davidbowie.com
10 = nuttyelaine2002@davidbowie.com
26 = newton@davidbowie.com
27 = wsmedley@davidbowie.com
32 = me@davidbowie.com
36 = celine@davidbowie.com
49 = milhouse@davidbowie.com
54 = richn@davidbowie.com
56 = kashaw@davidbowie.com
58 = pymander@davidbowie.com
68 = screamie1@davidbowie.com
83 = tonysprung@davidbowie.com
102 = somebraveapollo@davidbowie.com
103 = winny@davidbowie.com
104 = stevenbarfield@davidbowie.com
122 = keithbubb@davidbowie.com
135 = ladyart@davidbowie.com
142 = soniah@davidbowie.com
154 = ging81@davidbowie.com

I will send out a confirmation e-mail to all sixty winners on Sunday, but rest assured, if you've been listed here as a winner, you will get in on Monday. Please remember that you may not enter again if you have already won a place. As pretty well everybody noticed yesterday's missing word was I, which was missing from 'I Took A Trip On A Gemini Spaceship'.

OK the rest of you, here's your last chance to win a place. Please re-read the rules below, as some of you are being disqualified, probably quite unnecessarily, for not following these very simple rules. Don't panic, there is still time to read them, you have until midnight!

HMV signing competition, third and final part - Please read carefully...

You all know how this is working by now, but to recap, look at the image above. It contains all of the song titles from 'Heathen', except that one of the titles has a word missing. What is that word?

The RulesYou must enter the competition using a BowieNet e-mail address. If you do not mail from a BowieNet address for whatever reason, (You're at work or the BowieNet mail is down, for example) you must at least supply your BowieNet address in your e-mail so we can check that you are actually a paid-up member.

Do not send more than one entry, unless you are just worried the first didn't go through. Duplicate e-mails are deleted, so that every one who enters has an equal chance of winning.

You must use a subject line of: The last missing word is... when you send your entry to me at TotalBlamBlam@DavidBowie.com. If you don't, your e-mail won't find its way to the correct competition inbox and will most likely be ignored. This should happen automatically when you just click on my name above.

Each of the three parts of the competition close at midnight London time. Entries that arrive after this time will not be entered for the competition.

The winners of today's competition will be notified in the news tomorrow. Hope that all makes sense... Good luck. };-)

Hmv Signing Comp Part 2 & Part 1 Winners

Look at this - some second chances...

OK, this seems to be working quite well, so if it ain't broke, etc. Firstly, we have the randomly selected winners from part one of the competition, who appear below and should respond to me at TotalBlamBlam@DavidBowie.com immediately, with their real names, and to confirm that they will definitely attend. The 20 winners should please use a subject line of: "Signing Competition Part One Winner"

Please note: It is important to use the subject line when replying to me, as I have an inbox allocated to each subject line that I give you...if you don't use it, I may never get your e-mail. You can always cut and paste if it doesn't work automatically. Anyway, here are the first 20 winners, who'll all get to meet David Bowie at 150 Oxford Street on Monday:

85 = rebel@davidbowie.com
57 = ciggy5tardust@davidbowie.com
75 = mjr@davidbowie.com
101 = johnnywilko@davidbowie.com
3 = allansoj@davidbowie.com
19 = braveapollo@davidbowie.com
52 = geraldcraig@davidbowie.com
46 = joehickey@davidbowie.com
103 = lowe@davidbowie.com
62 = nelson@davidbowie.com
43 = cdcarter@davidbowie.com
41 = ledge@davidbowie.com
4 = rusphillips@davidbowie.com
55 = petedavis@davidbowie.com
175 = thunderball@davidbowie.com
1 = essexboy@davidbowie.com
39 = vanners@davidbowie.com
139 = bowielova23@davidbowie.com
172 = teresawalsh@davidbowie.com
48 = denny@davidbowie.com

Well done folx, see you there. Please remember that you may not enter again if you have already won a place. Btw, the missing word was "Be" from 'I Would Be Your Slave'.

OK the rest of you, here's your second chance to win a place...

HMV signing competition part two - Please read carefully, even if you think you know it already!!!

As I said before, this seems to be working OK, so it's exactly the same as yesterday, except it's obviously a different word. To recap, Look at the image above. It contains all of the song titles from 'Heathen', except that one of the titles has a word missing. What is that word?

See yesterday's news if you aren't quite sure what you're meant to be looking for. Here are the rules of entry again though, as some of you didn't follow them yesterday. You face immediate disqualification if you ignore these rules... I know that sounds uncharacteristically harsh of me, but it's so easy to do it right kidz!

The Rules
You must enter the competition using a BowieNet e-mail address. If you do not mail from a BowieNet address for whatever reason, you must at least supply your BowieNet address in your e-mail so we can check that you are actually a paid-up member.

You must use a subject line of: "The second missing word is..." when you send your entry to me at TotalBlamBlam@DavidBowie.com. If you don't, your e-mail won't find its way to the correct competition inbox and will most likely be ignored.

Each of the three parts of the competition close at midnight London time. Entries that arrive after this time will not be entered for the competition.

The winners of this competition will be notified tomorrow and their BowieNet names will be posted in the news. Hope that all makes sense... Good luck, and remember if you don't win this time, you still have one last chance tomorrow. };-)

Mark Plati : Website : Live again, now

If you have been wondering what's happened to Mark Plati's website, then breathe again, as it is up and running, at www.markplati.net. You can read Mark's account of how he and David made plans for the current tour, and see lots of Mark's photographs. For those of you who have wondered how Mark managed to take so many photos of himself, here's his answer to the mystery. "Moby's most capable bassist, Greta, has been helping me out with pictures from time to time. If you see me in a shot, you can bet she's responsible."

Here's a quote from Mark's latest journal. I've spent the better part of this year being David Bowie's musical director and one of his guitarists - my third time in this role. This particular hitch has been the lengthiest as well as the most challenging. A lot of people have been wondering what I do in the capacity as bandleader. Some want to know how we went about performing two albums in a single show. Others want to know what I'm doing onstage at all - after all, three guitarists seem a bit much in this era of downsizing. Hopefully ... this will shed a little light.

You can go to his website to read the whole thing.

Me, I'm fresh on your pages

Ash get the hot spot on the new albums review page in this week's NME for 'Intergalactic Sonic 7"s'. They are asked to choose three albums which the band "are currently listening to", and here is what they have to say about one of their choices, 'Low'. "We missed him playing (and curating) Meltdown this summer but have been lucky enough to play with him in America. Mid-period Bowie and older than most of us, this album still sounds fresh today." (Ash's new album gets 9/10)

'Sweet Head' features on the soundtrack of a the movie 'Moonlight Mile' which opens in the USA on September 27th. The film is a drama about a young man mourning the death of his fiancee while continuing his relationship with her parents. The director, Brad Silberling, said he carefully chose songs for the soundtrack that are not necessarily well-known but are "the unsung heroes from some of the finest albums ever made... they're the ones you grew to love most, even though their better known siblings always stole the limelight. They're the ones you called your own." (from Yahoo)

Bowie is 'beauty icon du jour' : The Telegraph : 09/02/02

You can't say no to the beauty..

In the fashion section of Monday's Telegraph, Laura Bailey dicusses this year's key colour, which apparently is purple.. This colour, she says "doesn't have to be too Barbie-girlie. Think Milla Jovovich or Angelina Jolie - action heroines, rather than shrinking violets. Chrissie Hynde and David Bowie are the beauty icons du jour; tough cookies unafraid of a little liquid eyeliner."

Bowienet Hmv Heathen Signing Competition

Word On A Wing...

OK, judging by the message boards, this is the one many of you have been waiting for... and now I have final details about the BowieNet allocation and all that malarkey, the games may commence. Sorry for the delay on this, but it's not a BowieNet organised event, and this really is the earliest we could post.

We'll be running this competition over the next three days when we'll be giving away 20 places per day. As most of you know, the London-based Xfm radio station are already running a daily competition to win places, and you can try their competition again each evening this week from 7:00pm London time.

METRO, the free daily newspaper distributed on the London underground, also has a competition that they are keeping tight-lipped about right now. I know as much about this one as you do, all I can say is keep an eye on the paper every day. In fact, today they have a report about last night's GQ award ceremony that we posted the exclusive on yesterday.

So, on to our competition. As I say, we'll be running this on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and we'll be posting 20 winners the day after each competition. The 60 winners will collect their wristband from the venue on Monday morning, more details to follow on this.

The Rules
You must enter the competition using a BowieNet e-mail address. If you win, you can not enter the competition again for a second place. If you do not win on the first day, you can try again on Thursday, and so on. Winners must take a confirmation e-mail and a form of ID with them to HMV on Monday morning.

How To Enter
Look at the image above. It contains all of the song titles from 'Heathen', except that one of the titles has a word missing. What is that word? Bloody easy, eh? Send your answers to me at TotalBlamBlam@DavidBowie.com with a subject heading of: "The missing word is..."

Each of the three competitions will close at midnight London time, so if you're reading this after this first competition has ended, don't forget you have another chance on Thursday and Friday. I will post twenty randomly selected winners the morning after each competition. So the winners of this competition will be notified tomorrow and their BowieNet names will be posted in the news.

Hope that all makes sense... Good luck, and I'll see you on the MBs no doubt.

London Signing Update Plus More Exciting News

"So, I hope the pair of you will be able to join me on the 18th...by the
way Jane, is that a touch of the old Schwarzkopf red you have there?"
Jane and Jonathan Ross with David at the GQ awards last night.

So long as you're with the London boys...

The first of our three BowieNet/HMV 'Heathen' signing give-aways is now over. (See story below if this statement is puzzling to you!) Tomorrow I'll be posting the twenty winners of part one, and I'll also be posting part two of the competition.

It transpires that the Xfm give-away mentioned in the piece below may have run its course already. Although the competition was scheduled to run for the whole week, it seems the station has already given away its allotment of 40 tickets in two days! This is because Xfm has been giving away pairs of tickets instead of single places for the signing. After the cancellation of tonight's Xfm competition, there appeared to be some confusion as to whether the original two tickets per win would be honoured, though this would surely be the decent thing to do.

Another competition on the horizon is for 25 BowieNet members to attend a very special David Bowie performance in London on Wednesday the 18th of September. Sorry to tease you like this, I honestly can't say anymore than that...just wanted to make you aware of the date!

Bowie Receives Gq Outstanding Achievement Award

"Hunt you to the ground they will, mannequins with kill appeal..."
David Bowie & Diamond Dog. Picture by Markus Klinko & Indrani.

Watch that man! Oh honey, watch that man...

David Bowie was tonight presented with the Outstanding Achievement Award at the 2002 GQ Men Of The Year Awards. The annual event took place in the beautiful surroundings of London's Natural History Museum in South Kensington, and David's unannounced appearance at the awards took even the celebrity-studded audience by surprise, who gave David an incredibly appreciative welcome.

Stella McCartney presented David with the award, which I guess makes them quits for David's presentation to Stella of the 'Fashion Designer Of The Year' award at the VH-1 Vogue Fashion Awards a couple of years back! (10/23/00 NEWS: STELLAR PERFORMANCE FROM DAVID AT VH-1/VOGUE FASHION AWARDS)

Stella also made reference to a very funny popular TV show here in the UK called 'I'm a Celebrity...Get Me out of Here!', when she gave David an 'Aladdin Sane' T-shirt with the legend: "I'M AN ICON...GET ME OUT OF HERE!"

"Then you howl like a wolf..." DB & wolves by Markus Klinko & Indrani.

Jonathan Ross, who won Radio Personality of the Year, thanked David and James Dean for their inspiration, and David returned the compliment by thanking Jonathan for his inspiration in his own short acceptance speech!

DB finally got to meet Travis too, much to bass player Dougie Payne's excitement, who is himself a big Bowie fan. We'll hopefully have some pictures of this meeting, and a few others from the event shortly, but in the meantime I'm sure you'll enjoy these two shots I've posted, which you can find (along with several more of these stunning pictures, which David talks about in the mag) in the latest edition of GQ, on the shelves tomorrow.

GQ has celebrated David's Outstanding Achievement Award by giving him the front cover, and by publishing a fascinating new interview...all in all, it's a great issue. Of course, this isn't the first time that David has graced the front of GQ, you may remember the cover of the magazine exactly two years ago, when David was voted Most Stylish Man of the Year. (09/07/00 NEWS: GQ UK BOWIE COLLECTOR'S COVER)

As I say, we'll hopefully post some pictures from tonight over the next couple of days.
