Where would the song that started all the fuss, 'Starman', be without the year 1947?

And, of course, 'Starman' couldn't have existed without the birth of David Bowie...yes you guessed it, spookily that was 1947 too! Yes siree, 55 years ago today David Bowie was born in the back garden of 40 Stansfield Road, Brixton, London...in a wheelbarrow during an air raid!*
