I can't stand another sound.
Ever wanted to know if Mark Plati favours flange over phase? Has he got a fuzz-box, and is he gonna use it? Would he rather fool with a Fender or goof with a Gibson? And what make of harmoniser brings erm...harmony to his recording sessions? Or perhaps you simply want to know if he is mad over Marshall or peeved at Peavey? Well now's your chance to ask these and far more sensible questions directly of the man himself.
Musician.com is hosting a 'Behind The Board' question and answer session with the man himself over the next week. Here's what they had to say in advance of Mark's appearance:
"Long-time David Bowie engineer and collaborator Mark Plati will be making an appearance on Musician.Com's "Behind the Board" from April 9th through April 16th. Mark Plati will be available to answer any questions you may have about production, recording or working with David Bowie, Prince, or any of the other artists he has recorded."
Please try and remember that this forum is aimed at 'serious' musicians and not really at oiks like Rednik and I. In other words, I doubt Mark will really want to be answering questions about the colour of David's socks or release schedules for 'Toy'. But if you do feel you can contribute something or have a genuine enquiry that you've just been dying to ask Mr Plati, then go here now.
Thanks to the delightful Derek for the pointer to this one. I would also like to congratulate him on his new position as an extra in Mask's photographic sessions, where he is utilised to full effect as the back end of a panto-cow. Well done sir!
