You got crazy legs...
Leafing through the 19th edition of Black's Veterinary Dictionary in an attempt to find out more about the effects of the terrible epidemic of Foot and Mouth disease currently sweeping England, I chanced upon this surprise entry directly after 'Bow-legs' and 'Bowels:
Yes, it is true...'Bowie' is "a disease of unweaned lambs, resembling rickets, in New Zealand" where "a supplement of phosphates appears to be effective".
For a longer look at the tantalising picture above where our very own little lamb seems to have been afflicted by 'Bowie', click on the front cover of Black's Veterinary Dictionary...Although, in my professional opinion, I would say that David's condition was more likely arrived at due to a supplement of sulphates! ... };-)
Many thanx to Doug 'Experimental Hair' Doig for the loan of the dictionary.
