If I'm Dreaming My Life...
Finally received my copy of BowieNetter Alex Alexander's third labour of love that is the 68-page 'A Year In The Life', the year being 2000 of course. Alex's previous two efforts covering the 'Outside' and 'hours...' tours in extraordinary detail have all gone, but if you're quick you may still be able to get one of these signed and numbered editions that are limited to 100 copies.
While the quality of reproduction is not always great, many of the 100 plus pictures are allegedly unpublished, excepting those taken by me and nicked from this site I presume. Despite claims elsewhere, the volume is photocopied in black and white throughout, aside from the four colour pages that make up the card cover. Quality aside, 'A Year In The Life' is a great record of David Bowie's Y2K via press cuttings, reproductions of tickets and passes, reviews and photographs supplied by fans, including one of Master Duncan Jones and yours truly.
Other 'treats' include a free official Rockstyle postcard and a very, very silly paper Bowie Doll supplement, that is frankly rubbish and must have been made by Alex's four-year-old-niece, sort of fun all the same. If your tempted to part with your hard-earned, contact Alex at alex@davidbowie.com.
