The Tate Party
Hailed as the party of the year the Tate Modern housed not only anamazing collection of art last night but also what would seem to havebeen the vast majority of the London art world, and some extra's. Thebash was indeed huge and for those who did not manage to gain an invitethe proceedings were televised in all their wonder on Britishtelevision. One lucky individual, namely Mick Jagger, was accompaniedaround some of the rooms by London's daily newspaper, The EveningStandard. He commented:
"I have a bit of this stuff at home, but I don't collect very much.David Bowie knows a lot more about this than me".

Karma Vs. Points
There has been some discussion over the difference between 'Karma' and 'Points' in BowieNet V.2. So here is a little info about each to clarify these two new features:
:: KARMA ::
Karma is a community tool. Every member can be as active as they would like on V.2, and one way to do so is to 'rate' postings to the site. You can add or subtract Karma from any posting with a simple click, and by doing that, all other members of the site can see which postings were fan favorites, and which were not. Karma is a fun way for the community as a whole to interact in ways which weren't possible before.
:: POINTS ::
Points are a way of keeping track of how active you are on the site. Any time you make a post to the site, respond to somebody's posting, log in to the site, or basically contribute your voice to the V.2 community, you will get points. There is a chart of activities that will win you points, and over time, your points will add up! At certain times in the year, prizes will be awarded to the members with the most points!

If you feel the absolute need, you can affect the Karma rating of each post by a total of 3 points in either direction, but 3 is the individual limit. As a community, there are no limits! What does this all really mean? It means now you can know what others think about individual items on the site in real time based on it?s Karma. It?s all about real time communication! It?s about time, huh!
New auto posting capabilities throughout the site will allow instant gratification for sharing your words, sound and vision with the rest of the BowieNet community. We do have to pass it through the web team before postings in the gallery go up, but it will now be a 24 hour turn around time rather that a monthe (or longer - shame on you Tina).
