(Just give me back the shirt Gae...It isn't yours to keep.)
To promote the recent Bowie at the Beeb release, EMI produced a very limited run of T-shirts that were distributed to industry folk, DJs and the like. Needless to say, these items are exchanging hands for silly money on the black T-shirt market, but we have managed to procure ten of these beauties for as many lucky BowieNetters. The shirts have the Bowie at the Beeb logo printed on the reverse, and the Guy Peellaert painting that was commisioned for the release is reproduced on the front.
The picture above is of Mrs Blam Blam sporting one of these priceless prizes, as it looked just a bit too tight on me };-) As you can see the shirt is black cotton and very sexy to boot. Click on the image on the T-shirt for a close up reminder of exactly how good the Guy Peellaert painting is.
For your chance to win one of the shirts, simply tell me the name of the old friend of David's that appeared next to him in Guy Peellaert's book 'Rock Dreams' in 1973. When you think you know the name of David's companion in the painting mail your answer to: MrTotalBlamBlam@AOL.com with "Who dat with Bowie?" in the subject line. Please state whether you would prefer a small or a large T-shirt, remembering that the small are miniscule and the large are not very big at all!
As with all of the competitions that I post from now on, your answer must be sent from a davidbowie.com or a davidbowie.co.uk e-mail address. This competition will close at the end of the month to give everybody plenty of time to find the answer, as it's not an easy one, unless you have access to the book. Good Luck!
