While we are on the subject of Sunday publications, British 'Newspaper of the Year', The Sunday Telegraph (August 13th), had on its Arts pages, a feature headed 'Is it time for gottles of geer?'. As the more astute among you will have guessed, the article was about ventriloquists, with particular reference to their annual conference in Northern Kentucky. Having a passing interest in the art (mainly due to my fascination for the spooky dolls), I scanned through the eight pictures of vents and their puppets and was astonished to see a crazy-haired girl sporting an Aladdin Sane t-shirt with her hand up a full Earthling mode David Bowie puppet. And who exactly was that girl, you're probably not wondering? Go here to confirm your suspicions.
