Iman's recent comments on the Rosie O'Donnell show concerning an old African tradition and the loan of Christie Brinkley's baby have certainly captured the imagination of the press here in the UK. The Evening Standard was the first to report the hilarious interview with Rosie with no less than two different front pages and three different full-page reports throughout their various editions yesterday.
Today's papers have picked up on the story with, among others, The Times and The Daily Star devoting large spaces to the piece. Most of our US members probably saw the show themselves, but for the sake of our European members who have yet to see the interview, I can't resist this lovely quote from Iman about the baby's father who is, by all accounts, so excited over the birth he has started work on a nursery: "He has been talking to me about the baby sleeping with us in the bed, and I'm like 'Come on David, the nursery will be just across the room and we should really start the baby learning to sleep in their own room'. And he said 'No, start with us, and then when it moves to the nursery, we'll move to the nursery with it'."
