Rated R - 1996, Drama: Based on the story of Jean Michel Basquiat,a noted New York artist whose career was cut short by a heroinoverdose. Dir: Julian Schnabel, Starring:Jeffrey Wright, Michael Wincott, Benicio Del Toro, Claire Forlani, David Bowie, Dennis Hopper.

This biographical drama focuses on the life of tormented artist Jean-Michel Basquiat. Basquiat began his career as a Manhattan graffiti artist but ultimately climbed up to the higher echelons of the art world. This 1996 drama was written and directed by Julian Schnabel, one of the most sought after painters of the 1980's art scene.
