Note: there is a English / German translation feature on the gallery site, just in case your not fluent in German.
Here is a piece entitled "Bowie Spewing" from Paul's collection.
This is an excerpt from the Gallery site:
Although entitled "Bowie spewing", this small painting was not planned as a portrait. As so often the case with McCartney, the subject emerged during the painting process. Experimental painting with no other motive than "just to let the paint lead the way" (McCartney) results in a physiognomy which reminds the artist of David Bowie at an early stage in his career, the time of his "Ziggy Stardust" album.
David appeared on last night's Comic Relief charity show in a video-taped segment. All in good fun, David says:
"Hello boys and girls, erm... I'm David Bowie and... I'm talking to you for Comic Relief. Tonight I thought I'd do something a little bit different so I'm gonna play a new composition for you, erm... that I think you may enjoy. It's called 'Requiem For A Laughing Gnome'. It's for recorder and erm... it has some choreography that was... erm... I picked up from an Navaho Indian erm... that I met last week in the Croydon chapter. It's in four movements, probably I should begin with the first one. Thank you."
David starts playing the recorder, and does a bit of fancy footwork. A message appears on the screen:
David continues playing as another message appears:

Here are a few excerpts from an article in the Sunday Express (March 7th, 1999). Boy George had this to say about chatting on BowieNet:
I must confess that when it comes to the Internet, I am an information super highway virgin. I find the whole process of logging in and dot dot com-ing quite daunting. Last summer, I did my first on-line chat with Culture Club fans in America and it was a scream, but not half as exciting as appearing on my childhood hero David Bowie's Website.
Receiving a phone call from Bowie's office was thrilling enough but spending an hour and a half on the phone with him, answering questions to fans all over the world was beyond beyond. Who would have thought that one-day I'd be sharing my wit and wisdom with the man I worshipped and trailed like a maniac for most of my teenage years. Bowie is pure charm?
If you did weren't able to attend the Boy George chat session, you can read the transcript here! A good time was had by all. Thanks again to Boy George.
