Last night db played the HQ club (500 Capacity). The supporting acts were long-time Bowie favorites Placebo, and Eastern electronica master Talvin Singh, recent recipient of UK's prestigious Mercury Music Prize. Talvin also supported David at the secret London Hanover Grand.

Bowie fans who attended the show reported that Life On Mars was justpiano and vocals, and that Pretty Things rocked like a mutha!

    Here was the set list:

    Life On Mars
    Thursday's Child
    Can't Help Thinking
    Word On A Wing
    China Girl
    Repitition
    Always Crashing The Same Car
    I Can't Read
    Survive
    Changes

    Encore
Pretty Things Are Going To Hell
    Seven
    Drive In Saturday
    Rebel Rebel

Included in the audience was Joe Elliot from Def Leppard, members of the huge Irish boybandBoyzone, and Irish singing phenomenon The Corrs were there as well.

The strangest guests of all were Andrew Lloyd Webber (Cats, Jesus Christ Superstar, etc) and Mr. Riverdance himself Michael Flatley!

Here is a review from Ireland biggest selling eveningnewspaper: The Evening Herald, written by Dermott Hayes:

Legend has its own place in social history and David Bowie is one very realand very vital musical legend.

All of this he proved and much more when he headlined the inaugural Witness(Guinness) invite only show in the Hot Press Hall of Fame last night. And every celebrity in Ireland checked it out to suss out what was happeningand to pay homage to someone who has always defied definition butpersonified celebrity.

Kicking off the show with a spirited ballad version of Life on Mars, Bowiebrought his audience through a musical kaleidoscope of his career fromChanges to China Girl and far beyond.
