- The BBC Online is currently featuring an interview with Jack Docherty who talks about past interview he has done.
Jack Docherty has interviewed more than 1000 guests in front of a live audience for Channel 5's The Jack Docherty Show. One such interview was David Bowie in 1997.
In answer to the question, "Out of all the stars you have interviewed, which one is your favourite and why?" Jack replies:
"David Bowie sticks in the mind - mainly because I was a fan when I was a teenager and that never really leaves you. There is still a part of me that thinks, "wow!" whenever I meet someone like that. It was a great night - all my mates came down from Scotland, the theatre was full and Bowie played live . I thought it was very cool to hang around with Bowie and share a pack of cigarettes with him - I was a smoker then!"
