More paintbrush effects. This picture looks to me
like the bottom of the ocean.
The picture on the left reminds me of some other
artist. Early twentieth-century, either American or Mexican. I
can't think of who I mean. Oh well. The colors are kind of
interesting, and I like it that the texture looks like very thick
paint. I don't remember how I accomplished that.
This picture is from June 2000, and it's one of my
favorites. I made it from a photograph of lace: First I tinted
the lace pink and orange, and then I applied a Photoshop plugin
called Lacquer (made by Sandwater) to it to get the effect where
parts of it look like wax or plastic while other parts still look
like lace. I'll talk more about this plugin on the next page.
I can't rid myself of the feeling that this picture
looks rather Christian. Please tell me I'm wrong! I'd hate to
think I spend my spare time producing propaganda for a religion I've
never belonged to and which as far as I can see has done little
but promote prejudice, war, and pain thoughout its entire history.
