My abiding memory of the session is that while overdubbing harmony guitar parts in the middle section of ‘lies’, Paul commented that they reminded him of his solo in ‘West One (Shine On), I could have been happier but not much! mind you, I also remember him being so out of it by the end that he fell asleep in the control room oblivious to the thundering volume that we were listening to the playback. Ah well.
