“One magical moment from 2013”

The results are in, NME readers have spoken and they have made ’David Bowie's Surprise Return On His 66th Birthday’ the ultimate music moment of 2013.

He was up against some stiff competition, but who could disagree with the final NME result.

Many thanks to both the NME readership and the magazine for their incredible support in 2013 and for continuing to fly the Bowie flag so high. It’s appreciated.

We’ll leave you with the full list of nominees and the terrifying realisation of just how narrowly disaster was averted! ;-)
