On Monday, October 21st 2013 Q – the UK’s premier music magazine will be honouring the greatest music of the past year again at one of the most respected, legendary and infamous dates on the music calendar, The Q Awards 2013.

In the time honoured tradition Q continues to champion the very best in music, topping the list of nominees this year are David Bowie with six nominations, followed by Arctic Monkeys, Foals and Daft Punk with 3 apiece.

Q Senior Editor Matt Mason said: “It's been another unforgettable year for music, and the nominations reflect the breadth and brilliance of artists from the UK and beyond. The return of David Bowie proved that, even in the digital age, pop stars retain the ability to completely amaze and surprise us, while the phenomenal success of Daft Punk showed that you can still reach right across the globe with one great song. With Glastonbury back on the calendar, we've also enjoyed a summer of outstanding live performances. All the Q Awards nominees have helped ensure that 2013 has been an incredible year for music. ”
