Cotswolds Farm Park

April 03, 2006 05:27AM

A couple of years ago me and Don went to the Cotswolds Farm Park at about this time of year, at Lambing time. It was such a wonderful experience, that we said we¡¦d do it every year, but we missed it last year.

Anyhoo, we were determined not to miss it again, so yesterday we took a drive out and spent the whole day there.

It was just as magical this time, and we got to see brand new lambs that were just born a few minutes before we got there AWWWWWRRRR cute cute CUTE!

They encourage you to stroke the animals there, and sell little bags of food to feed the goats and sheep. You'd think with so many people going round feeding them that they'd all be full up, but everyone of them acted like they hadn't eaten for weeks, and the goats even grabbed my bag and ripped it open

There were Highland Cattle, Bronze pigs (gorgeous), rabbits, guinea pigs, hens, guinea fowl, and all manner of rare breed sheep and goats....just fab

It really lifts your spirits to spend time with these lovely creatures and I wish so much that I worked somewhere like that, the people that do are so lucky.

We drove into the Slaughters on the way home too, it's such a pretty little village.

Here are a few pics Don took during the day.
