I really don't think this site has anything whatsoever to do with David Bowie any more. I feel embarrassed just being a fan, I'm sure our Dave must appreciate how bad this site is. One of the main reasons I've always admired DB is because he doesn't give a fuck about what people think, and I'm sure he isn't overly concerned about the state of this place. I feel it's time for the fans to take control of this site, we can do so much better. The corporate bastards who feed us this shite should be ashamed of themselves, give the site to the fans.

You don't get access to the BowieNet e-mail facility anymore, although if you've got an old membership you can have that facility for free! An expired membership allows you to blog and here is the evidence.
The 'free' gift never arrives, and you're not entitled to one if you're a loyal customer. The prizes don't seem to turn up as many frustrated BowieNetters have testified on the messageboards.
The presale ticket access?! Well I'd be surprised if Bowie ever tours again, and the last time he did BowieNet was swamped with complaints about the seating allocation.
So basically it's just a messageboard, and a crap one at that! I'm saddened that this place is so poor, the only positive I can say is that most of the BowieNetters I've met are really nice.
I'd like to participate on the messageboards, but it just isn't worth sixty quid. If Liverpool win the league this year I might just re-join just to crow about it. I think my money's safe though! :-)
