My "Trannie" (transference) doll wishes everyone a ....

May 10, 2008 05:36PM

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY even in the UK because whatever happens afterwards we all come out of a mummy even if we're not one ... well yes ok dolly didnt come out of a mummy nor was she made of a mummy but yes well dolly ISNT human even though sometimes acts like one...

Dolly has crocheted hair with ribbons from everywhere and comes from a pattern from "Creative Hands" which was a serial mag from the UK. Dolly is actually called "Cherisha" because my friend say he would 'cherish her' ... Dolly is the spitting image of one i made a friend but i am not sure if it still exists and asked for it back but didnt get it so made a new one and put dried herbs from a spacial day inside of her and her dress is really for a bottle. Dolly has 'birth beads' as necklaces; birth beads are what the young things ask friends for, so they have a ring of friends' beads and their friends have the other one. Dolly may get a facelift one of these days, but little touches like a long strand of stuffing that i even pulled more of out of her chin are cute (Dolly's bag from the other week is a backpack of which you can just see a strap on her shoulder)

Dolly is a real reminder of how important dollies are when you are young, and how important it is to make sure there are absolutely no pins left in any dolly when a dolly is for a present especially for a young one.

So there is another blissful non-work day. Not that work days arent blissfull . Also Stewie a mate's friend died on Friday nite .... he'd only gone in to have chemo. For everyone that is slightly in pain from their lives or from others imagine hugging dolly or hug something like dolly cos a lot of our love is in our hands and our hugs.

what a beautiful day

May 09, 2008 09:39PM

it is absolutely idylllic autumn day, just before mothers day (though not in UK). . . the computer says it is 81F or 27.222C and i could well believe it. I am being very lazy but it is good. I was putting the computer away and the sun had reflected off its cover and landed on the astrological calendar so i have taken a picture of it as it was pretty cool. Now i have my manga book to learn from before i go to the pub for my first conversations of the day and some lunch .... no that's right, i did not talk when i went to get the paper and already have completed my favrite clueless xword! I think all the angst and 'terror' from the working week has drained away. It is good to just be ... U2 :)

sort of coals from newcastle

May 03, 2008 09:57PM

What a morning! Well i think i got everything done ... this is actually a rainbow from england after a thunderstorm (probably last weekend) in Stratford above the transformation of the RSC theatre. The funniest thing in my life at the moment is that the doll i have here has a little memory-card bag - which is very cute - on its arm that i put there and now the doll 'seems' not to want me to take it off - lol - which is of course transference as i have been quite obssessed with my little DS! The outcome of which (as i have also just noticed the 'bag's bottom is the opening) is that i will probably crochet a very quick one while watching the news tonight. Ah well - time to catch up at the pub ;) Greets and fun Sunday All!
