Needless to say, I am excited about these upcoming releases.
Sunshine and breeze peeking through my window as I wake up this morning. I wonder what David Bowie is doing right now. Laundry, then work.

My dear friend Erin joined me for a weekend packed full of booze, exceptional jazz, Klaus Nomi sing-a-longs, laughter, and cheesecake.

And, uh. . .
I saw The Nomi Song twice. Very inspiring and a well done documentary. Really shines light on the stuff that mattered in Nomi's career - his voice, his music, his visual presentation - NOT his untimely death. Really makes you wonder where he'd be now. An underground legend that really deserves to be unearthed for a while. See it.
We also saw Jimmy Scott, which was another mind-blowing experience. He plays in NYC often, so treat yourself to one of his performances next time you're in town.

My good pal Erin (she was on Bnet for 3 months as HappyFestus a few months ago) took these pictures and sent them to me this evening. I liked them, so I decided to share. I'm super happy today because I found out that Erin and my other friend, Mike are coming to visit me next month! Hopefully I can get them to see Jimmy Scott with me.
Mike and Erin are some of the best friends you could imagine. I think I've maintained relationships with them because we give eachother space. We can not hear from eachother for a month or two, and then it's like we never parted. We also share a stupid sense of humor and a penchant for cheap beer, good music, and exploring the cave of the unknown.
I gotta remember to pick up some more of that Easy Now tea. And I gotta cash that dang check on my way into work.
Time for another X Files (The Truth is out there!!!) episode & a Beck's.
Relax! Don't do it.
