first one at my new apartment. oodles of fun and heaps of drunkedness...adam and zoe will be here, and i fully expect adam to wear a santa hat and let us all sit on his lap and let him know what we want for christmas.
heh.

need photoshop....badly....will have it installed by end of next week.
it's been difficult getting into the christmas spirit here in NO, but I did manage to get a tree, decorate it, AND put up lights around my new apartment. It now looks cozy, comfy and warm.
touching fact: i was out driving around town the other night, and saw several fema trailers lit up with christmas decorations, one complete with reindeer on top! made me smile to know that not even having to live in one of those little trailers will dampen the christmas spirit. makes me want to go to adam and zoe's trailer and pimp it out for christmas...wonder if i can find some abita beer christmas lights....??? hmmmm...... will look into that.
NO still looks like a disaster area. Talk about the government pulling out....they did that a LONG time ago. it's everyone for themselves now, down to hauling trash to communal dumsters. we've been trying our best to help neighbors out with this monumental task. example: some company? came by the other day and cut about five branches from a tree in front of my apt, but not all the branches that were hanging down, waiting for a little breeze to knock 'em down. they left the branches right where they fell. we cut 'em up and put them in a little pile, hoping the garbage men would pick them up. that didn't happen.
it seems as though i'll have to bring them to the dumster three blocks away. i get mail three times a week now, so that's a huge improvement in THAT area. still no land line phone or cable, and the only reason i'm online is due to a wireless connection i have with my friend, debra, who also happens to be my landlady.
i'll post some photos from my part of town when i get photoshop installed.
changes subject: i really need to learn how to use this mac. adam showed me a couple of things the other night. now i want him to bring his entire cd collection and download it onto my itunes. heh.
work is going well. we've got a skeleton crew, and more patients than we can handle. we've leased out part of our office to another practice who lost their office in the flood. i'm finally working full time as of this week, but this could change at a moment's notice if our patient load changes. main reason i am working full time is due to other employees who have been displaced to cities an hour away from work. they leave work early as to not be in too much traffic to be with their families at a decent hour, and since i live 10 minutes away, i stay after and finish whatever they couldn't complete.
well, that's enough for today. more tomorrow. maybe.
i'm going to go stare at my christmas tree for a while prior to going to work.
