Blackout
V-2 Schneider
Little Wonder (Danny Saber dance mix)
Seven Years in Tibet
I'm afraid of Americans
Do these rock, or what ? I can barely contain myself over this stuff. Amazing. Amazing. Got my skin exposure to the Blackout ! Didn't think Blue Jean could be topped by anyone - even DB. But for me, this Blackout is the quintessential Bowie song. Its absolutely perfect. (-get me to the doctor)
Thank you everyone, for the kind comments and suggestions. I want more rocking Bowie! Diamond Dogs and Lodger are top wish picks now - thanks for the pointers !

Nice to be here !
Discovered David Bowie about a month ago.
I'm 46, so its obvious I haven't been paying attention.
Better late, than never, says he.
Its not that I hadn't heard the name, but wasn't familiar with the music - or the artist. Changing that right now.
So I'm standing in this guy's office and he's showing me some bluprints and really rambling on and on. Faintly I can hear a beat coming from the radio on his desk. As my ear tunes him out and the song in, I delight in this awesome rock melody I'd never heard before. Awesome on a scale I can't put into words. I carefully listen for the dj to clue me in on this fantastic gem as the man continues to blather on. Fortune was on my side that hot, July day my friends, as I heard him utter the magic words: "David Bowie."
OK - gotta find that song, says he. I could remember the phrase, "sometimes I feel like" - so it was easy to put the two together on Google. Bingo! People putting up Bowie lyrics all over the place. There it was -Blue Jean ! I also determined that it was on a Best of Bowie cd released in 12/05. Immediately ran up to Best Buy and picked it up. WHAT A TREASURE. Can't tell you all how this one piece of plastic has changed my life. Most of these great songs, I HAVE heard, but didn't know they came from the same instrument ! Except, Changes and China Girl - which I do remember as Bowie songs. So the fascination with this great composer that I ignored in my youth - is growing quick.
The next week I was at Amazon.com and $100 worth of new Bowie cd's. It will take mulitple similar buys to get the whole collection - which, after sampling the first few - I am definitely of a mind to do.
This is the fuNNest thing I've done in years: Rewarding.
Finding these diamonds, rubies and saphires:
Queen Bitch
Watch That Man
Panic in Detroit
Let's Spend the Night Together
The Jean Genie
Lady Grinning Soul
Station to Station
Golden Years
TVC15
Speed of Life
Sound and Vision
These came from just four albums. I've got four more sitting here unopened for the last 3 weeks - but that's because I'm still totally satisfied buzzing out to the above set. And it's why I'm on this site. Recognition of complete genius. To pay tribute to it.
