I wrote a full review of Rufus' concert at the Ravinia Festival, and when I hit the "post to blog" button it vanished into thin air. Now I can't be bothered to write it all again, so you'll have to make do with me saying it was a fantastic show.
Rufus performed his Five Shakespeare Sonnets with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and then returned to the stage for a solo concert.
After the House of Rufus residency in July and Ravinia in August I will now have to wait until March 2012 for my next Rufus concert, and i am already feeling the withdrawl. I got so used to see him every other day that I am now suffering from PRD (Post Rufus Depression)

It's been a while since I updated my blog, and I doubt anyone reads it these days. Have to admit that I rarely login on bnet, there are so many other exciting things going on in my life that I simply can't be bothered. However, I feel still this is the place where I should share what is important to me.
Well, let me see... my last post was about a Rufus Wainwright concert, and this post is again about Rufus... so what does that tell you about me..?
I spent an entire week in London from July 17 to 24, and went to see Rufus at the Royal Opera House on all five nights of his residency billed as 5 Nights of Velvet, Glamour and Guilt. Never had so much fun before, the entire week was a blast, the fan meetups, the concerts, waiting for Rufus at the stage door after the concert. I posted all my pictures on facebook so I won't upload them all here, the picture above was taken on the fourth night which was also his birthday. Must be fun to celebrate your birthday on the stage of the ROH. 
Next week I'm off to the U.S. for the very first time, I'm going to visit my cousin and family in Michigan, and the icing on the cake will be another Rufus show at the Ravinia Festival in Chicago.
