Kristeen Young's new songs!
she played two last night during her set @ The Knitting Factory,
it floored me. She just has this incredible prsence and projection of (again Presence) as well as her voice.
Saw King Tommmy and Irmavep and Merman last night, Thank you for supporting the various acts on the bill last night, with your presence and energy.
it was a good night, I thought .
Baby Strange rocked out with Sean (of Rebecca Nurse - a really fun and cool band based out of Providence R.I. check 'em out!)
filling in on lead guitar duties for the evening.
for those of ya that came to the last C.B.'s show and saw Ivo filling in for lead guitar duties, he is and will be the permanent replacement and new member of Baby Strange.
Problem is that he is in a U2 cover band that does quite well and is booked well in advance. So he is trying to find a replacement, as well as the Mgmt. for Baby Strange.
I am very excited by Ivo's entering into the fold as I think he just brings a raw and energetic ,primal and yet controlled and refined lead guitar style.
He is the man for the job.
without a doubt.
firming up dates for European shows could very possibly last all Summer long.
maybe longer.
Scored a copy of "Vice" magazine last night in the upstairs lounge at the Knitting Factory!!!!
I absolutely fell in love with that magazine 3 years ago when I was visiting my buddy and his G.F. in Philly and he turned me on to it.
this one is the "Food Issue"
and there is some pretty diverse and, frankly stomach-turning articles in there But In the spirit of it all I had some good laughs!
Deffo. one of the coolest magazines published on the planet and they are freee!
if you see one check it out, if you are lucky enough to find them!
Sadly Worcester is a little ouot of the loop, however that is not to say that there aren't peeps here who don't know about that magazine.
right been blabbing on long enough!
day-off today
got a hair cut took the mountain bike in for a much needed overhaul , Groceries and laundry day!
Holy Shit!
Even a "DAy off " never seems much like a day off!
Oh well!
Namaste`
(I am begining to recognize what I see in me , in you)

"If Mohommed cannot get to the Mountain...
March 09, 2006 02:50PM
the the Mountain comes to Mohommed" as the cliche goes.
Last night I attended a Dharma teaching that takes place now, wekly here in Worcester. It was really really good And insightful.
The Venerable Lobsang Phuntsok, is the lecturer and it is cool in the fact that the way he presents it all is in A pretty "westernized" format although the all the core teachings are the same
I enjoyed it immensely and I felt it to be very helpful as to where I had grown to become"immune" to my practice.
but
now my heart is opening again.
I will be @ the Knitting Factory doing sound for Baby Strange on the 15th of March and a few other gigs in the NYC area in the next month(s) to come
still trying to Sway this guy to being our Full-time lead guitarist!
He was awesome At the CBGB's gig When the the mgr. and R> guitar player got busted 10 min. before the show!
well Any way 15th of March for all of you baby Strangers out there!
Up The Hill Baqckwards..

It'll be alright Wooo-Hooo
Seemingly another long winter is passing.
the self-inflicted isolation is fading.
"The Jewel Is In The Flower"
and hope blooms again in my heart.
I have been pondering for a couple of days what to post here and there have been a few decent discourses i could have entered but I am going for simplicity.
I have returned to the Chua Pho Hien Meditation ctr, here iN Worcester after a couple of Months absence.
It felt good to see my Sangha, My Dharma Family.
felt even better to sit in quietude and begin to clear my mind by sitting in meditation.
well, begin to clear it as it is still pretty "Cloudy" in a lot of respects.
I wish to help teach English again with my Dear friends ther, to be of service to them and return the Kidness and compassion that they have shown me.
Will be off tonight to Listen to the teachings of a Venerable Monk from Tibet here in Worcester around 7:30 pm.
I am working a fair bit, and also resolving some "Health " issues that have resurfaced.
Sometimes the s9implest of "things" can be so difficult, seemingly at times.
And sometimes the the most Joyous of events can be so heart-wrenching.
I am incredibly grateful for meeting my soulmate, without whom this road would be far more difficult to trod w/out the love and support that has been so freely given and shared.
I will forever be thankfu and grateful! I am longing for the day to be "Reunited" with my Family and finally come "Home"
it is my daily goal.
I wish everyone all good things and just be kind to y'selves and others.
I forgot for a while but now I reallly remember!
Sigh.....
*Smile
*Breathe
*LAugh
*Eyes open
Namaste`
