According to many interpretations of the Mayan Calendar, the world "ends" (changes indefinitely) on December 21st, 2012. This would make today, according to that, the official day to blast "Five Years" from your stereo and toast to life. Cheers! Here's to the unknown, the mysterious, the magic of life.

I gave one of my painted handbags to Debbie Harry, a couple of years ago. It was made for her, it said "I pray to Debbie Harry" hand-embroidered on the front, with a painting of her on the back. I gave her a few of my shirts with that, too.
I had the slim window of chance because my tee rep, Carol, was going to give her some CB's gear and it was set up for her already.
Debbie was doing sound-check for a cancer benefit for Johnny Ramone.
She was nice enough to talk to me for a minute, and when she was done looking through it she smiled and looked me up and down, squinted at me, and said, "Good luck, kid".
Upon leaving she was singing with Joey's bro on stage, and a feeling of guilt hit me.
Here she is, commemorating yet another loss in the Ramones family, feeling pretty sad to have seen them all buried, and all I can think of is getting to her to give'er my stupid fucking handbag? Why?
I know I wasn't rude or overly excited, I was respectful and quiet, and in tune to the sentiment of the day, but still.
I kind of wish I had the balls at the time to wait until a better time.
