As reported on Jan. 14, a "Closing Party" for the "Bowie" exhibit will be held on January 23rd at the Rupert Goldsworthy Gallery in NYC to celebrate the run of the exhibit. The party is open to all, and will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Gallery, located at 453 W. 17th Street, second floor. January 23rd is the last day of the "Bowie" exhibit. Rumors have been spreading about a potential David Bowie/ Placebo performance at the upcoming Brit Awards 1999 (UK annual music awards show scheduled for February 16 - London's Docklands Arena). The rumor was partially started by BowieNet on December 10th and perpetuated by the newspaper "The Sun". The Sun article claims that David and Placebo will be teaming up for a duet, performing T-Rex's classic 20th Century Boy, (a track Placebo contributed to the Velvet Goldmine soundtrack). Placebo was one of the opening band at the Bowie's 50th Birthday Bash, and Bowie has called Placebo's album
