    A Special Creativity award goes out to the to the creator of The Bowie Remix/Recreation Project website for going "above and beyond"! An extraordinary entry in the song contest. This participant has his/her own site (members.aol.com/bowieremix/) on which you will find not only lyrics in English but also in French. PLUS, you get to hear his/her version in Real Audio G2, Real Audio 5.0 or below or MP3. You also get a little explanation as to why this entrant went to so much trouble. Good Show!

    As reported on Jan. 14, a "Closing Party" for the "Bowie" exhibit will be held on January 23rd at the Rupert Goldsworthy Gallery in NYC to celebrate the run of the exhibit. The party is open to all, and will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Gallery, located at 453 W. 17th Street, second floor. January 23rd is the last day of the "Bowie" exhibit.     Radio New Zealand will re-air Bowie's performance at the 1996 Phoenix Festival on January 22, 1999, 23:06 NZST, RNZ National Program. New Zealand, huh?

    Rumors have been spreading about a potential David Bowie/ Placebo performance at the upcoming Brit Awards 1999 (UK annual music awards show scheduled for February 16 - London's Docklands Arena). The rumor was partially started by BowieNet on December 10th and perpetuated by the newspaper "The Sun". The Sun article claims that David and Placebo will be teaming up for a duet, performing T-Rex's classic 20th Century Boy, (a track Placebo contributed to the Velvet Goldmine soundtrack). Placebo was one of the opening band at the Bowie's 50th Birthday Bash, and Bowie has called Placebo's album
