New Bowie Postage Stamp??

on December 03, 1998

The Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Congo (formally known as Zaire) has officially denied the creation of the Bowie Stamp. Democratic Republic of Congo officials state that "no new stamps have been issued in the last 18 months since the revolution." (Ed. note: Any new stamp issued by the Democratic Republic of Congo would not be issued in the name of Zaire).

The stamp was found up for auction on the e-bay site. (Sorry, Bidding is closed for this item).
